LOW VISION TIPS:

GENERAL

  • To prevent back strain when using a magnifier, use a reading stand or lap desk
  • When filling out forms use name/address labels instead of writing out all the information
  • Install contrasting colored handles on doors and drawers.
  • For easy entrance through fences, paint doors/gates different colors than the fences
  • For more visible flowers, use light colored flowers against a red brick wall and dark flowers against a light colored wall
  • Between the lawn and where the flowers meet, use color contrasting stones or edging materials
